We are excited to announce the release of NXLog Enterprise Edition 5.10. This latest version addresses over twenty important issues - the two most significant are mentioned in this announcement - and introduces two features backported from NXLog Enterprise Edition 6.
Key enhancements in NXLog Enterprise Edition 5.10
- ElasticSearch integration
-
NXLog Enterprise Edition 5.10 now allows ElasticSearch users to send data as a stream. This feature enables the storage of events in an append-only, single-named manner, enhancing data management and retrieval efficiency.
- Dynamic Kafka topic assignment
-
A significant improvement for Kafka users is the dynamic assignment of topics. With this new feature, you no longer need to set the topic for each message statically. Instead, you can assign a unique topic to each message, greatly simplifying the implementation of systems where multiple consumers use a single data source concurrently.
Planning for the future
It’s important to note that with NXLog Enterprise Edition 5.10, we primarily focus on stability and maintenance, with limited addition of new features. As we continue to innovate and expand the capabilities in our more recent versions, we encourage you to begin planning your migration to the latest major version of NXLog Enterprise Edition, version 6.
