Hi,

I noticed the NXlog service is not started at the end of the install process. I would the service to start automatically at the end of the install of the MSI.

Our goal is:

- modify the conf file in the MSI file to have it ready out of the box.

- Deploy with GPO on all servers.

For this second step, we need to ensure it starts automatically during the install process. The best would be to edit the install file to make a "net start nxlog" at the end.

Thanks

    (NXLog)

Looks like you are pretty limited to what you can do with your servers since it's standard sysadmin practice to be able to remotely start/stop services and copy files to/from a set of servers.

Though it's possible, I don't think it is a good idea to modify the stock msi installer because you will have to do the same with every new version. Perhaps it would be better to have a second nxlog-conf.msi that contains the config and starts the service. Please contact If you would like us to help create this for you.
