Nxlog to redis alerting

I am looking into the possibility of being able to be notified if nxlog cannot output to redis. Has anyone managed to setup anything that writes to redis and if it cannot it sends an email.

I am looking into the possibility of being able to be notified if nxlog cannot output to redis. Has anyone managed to setup anything that writes to redis and if it cannot it sends an email.
I haven't personally seen what you are looking for, but I would love to see the finished bit if you get it working :)
A custom script using exec_async() in a <Schedule> block checking the ability to write to redis or the nxlog.log might do the trick well enough.
