Hi all.

We've got nxlog installed on multiple servers, and at least once a day we get an incident where the CPU usage massively spikes - 90%+ being used by nxlog. Then the service stops (presumably killed because of the high CPU).

Has anyone experienced this before?

    EmilyH, What version of the software are you running? What platform? Do you see anything in the logs? What is your current config? Is this always occurring around the same time? Unfortunately there are a lot of unknowns currently that we would need to clear up. Please let us know this information and we can continue from there.

    2) Windows Server 2012 R2

    3) Nothing useful or indicating an error in the logs.

    4) Not sure exactly what config you mean?

    5) No, it's random spikes throughout the day.

    For config, what types of logs are you managing? Would you be able to send your nxlog.conf file in? Your version is slightly out of date, nxlog-ce-2.9.1716.msi is current as of this post. My first suggestion would be to upgrade and see if the issue persists. There shouldn't be an issue, but as always make sure to back up your configs before the upgrade.
